24MX Unbiased Review: Are They Worth It?

24MX is an online dirt bike apparel retailer that recently came on to our radar, so we have written this unbiased review.

After all, you want to know the truth. Are they any good and safe to purchase from? Let our research do the talking for you.

24MX Review

24MX is based out of Sweden and one of Europe’s best dirt bike stores. What’s most is that they ship internationally including to Australia, North America, Canada and South Africa. If you’re looking for great quality gear, then this is it!

They process thousands of orders each month from simple stickers to complete kit replacements. Their core demographic are motocross and enduro riders needing the best gear possible, yet they also serve the older demographic of adventure riders. Clearly they are here to help just about anyone riding a motorcycle offroad.

Customer Service

Something that 24MX prides itself in is their customer service. It’s excellent and their live chat feature is quite helpful if you need some help finding some accessories or apparel. Their spare parts department is massive!

That extends further to their online reviews. You’ll see very fair responses to customer complaints on their various reputation management channels. This is a clear indication that 24MX is hellbent on resolving issues big and small.

Social Content

Given how many motocross riders are snapping their weekends and posting it to Instagram, 24MX has worked out that they need to be here. And we’ve noticed how much focus they’ve been putting into their YouTube, Facebook and IG accounts recently. There are viewers tuning in from around the world.

You’ll also spot huge engagement levels and industry-related content. They’ve very much in tune towards what people are looking for, and actually respond to questions in the comments section. Big tick of approval!

Negative Reviews of 24MX

Have you seen those who slander 24MX online? There are some customer complaints out there which are quite savage. You’ll notice that everyone is a victim of these. That is – every online motorcycle store.

Positive vs Negative complaints can be taken out of context. After all, people are far more likely to leave a negative experience rather than a positive one. And these issues probably stem from simply sending the wrong item or even lost shipments.

What we noticed when researching is that their customer service team is quite to resolve these. It isn’t that they don’t want bad experiences posted. It’s that they try to get these issues resolved, and if someone posts such an experience, they are quick to help intervene.

Final Thoughts

24MX is a high-quality store for motocross gear, whether you’re competing or simply trail riding. Indeed many enduro riders also find some great bargains here.

They are one of the biggest stores in Europe and sponsor some epic MX events. They’re very much in touch with the industry and bring the best gear to the marketplace here. You won’t find any 2nd grade accessories from China here. Nup – it’s the best or it’s gone.

And thus, we look forward to seeing Frontaer on the shelves real soon.

Adventure Bike Australia: Are They Any Good?

If you’re in Australia, then you’ll realize that our ADV community is quite small.

Just like you, we recently came across Adventure Bike Australia – an online store for buying products online. They specialize in our needs and as a brand, Frontaer is all about the recreational dirt biking and global traveller. Life is best spent behind the handlebars and certainly off the beaten tracks.

In this unbiased review, we’re going to learn who Adventure Bike Australia and if they’re worth buying from. We don’t earn anything here folks.

Let’s begin.

Adventure Bike Australia Review

You’ve probably searched online and we’ve come up. Luckily, we’ve done the research for you so you don’t have to. We also wanted to know more about Adventure Bike Australia recently so we looked at their company information and history.

Essentially, they’ve been around the block a while now. Decades actually. Mal built the ABA brand from scratch having owned Gold Coast Suzuki for around 20 years. Today it’s run by a younger crew so Mal could focus on his passion – adventure motorcycles. After all, his first race was in 1976.

Not only does he stock some good brands, but he also has custom-made parts available. If you need something made or sourced on the fly, check out the “Mal’s garage” section on his website.

Social Media

One thing that’s really lacking with his website is the social media content. It’s almost non-existent apart from an Instagram photo. To gain more trust with an audience, brands and businesses need to be posting just about daily on these platforms.

This is a spot we’d love to see more content. Their Instagram, for example, was last used over a year ago. Their Facebook is fortunately much more frequent with weekly postings, yet it can leave heads being scratched. Are they still around? It leaves customers guessing.

Additionally, we see brands using Google and YouTube much more as a means to generate a following. These platforms are perfect for helping get the word out about a business.

Gear Availability

This is a spot where clearly Adventure Bike Australia falls short. You’ll see that their website doesn’t have that many brands or gear in stock unlike some of the big competitors in the space.

Clearly they have niched right down to specific adventure riders. You won’t find any fancy BMW’s here or even stuff for the big bore Africa Twin. They truly have a love affair with the Suzuki DR series as well as the Kawasaki KLR650.

Needless to say, we’d love to see Frontaer on the shelves real soon. There is clearly a synergy right here.

In Summary

Adventure Bike Australia is continuing to scale and provides a good alternative to the industry king – Adventure Moto. They have a passionate team behind the operation which provides specific and seriously high quality gear. The type that they scour the internet for to bring the very best to riders nationally.

With 5-stars across their Facebook account, it’s clear that customers are very happy here.

GMX Motorbikes Review: Are They Any Good?

GMX Motorbikes sells some seriously affordable dirt bikes, quad bikes and buggies out of their Ravenhall warehouse.

The question is though: Are they worth buying from with your hard-earned money. They certainly look seriously cheap compared to what the likes of Yamaha and KTM offer.

Frontaer recently did some research and decided to write an unbiased review of GMX. We wanted to know if their Chinese dirt bikes actually are the real deal.

(And no, we don’t have a commercial relationship with this company. We’re a brand of protective gear for the ADV crowd)

Let’s begin.

GMX Motorbikes Review

All your mates are showing their shannigans on social media with their weekend rides on their dirt bikes. You want one…but there’s just one problem: The $10k you’ll need for a new WR250R.

Chances are, you don’t have that sort of cash laying around. So you go looking for a cheaper alternative like GMX and become interested. Like any sane individual, you’ll want to do your research.

When you read the negativity and customer complaints, it does seem a little concerning. Can you really spend your hard-earned money with them? Certainly a few people aren’t impressed by the service as you can easily read.

On eBay, you’ll find them as GoEasy Online but their reputation there is much higher. Certainly they have their fair share of offroad motorcycles available to purchase.

Where are they made? China. GMX sells cheaper motorcycles because they are manufactured in China (and sometimes Taiwan) and the final assembly is done in Melbourne.

This explains why they are so much more affordable. Does this mean they’re somehow ‘bad’? Not really. Chinese dirt bikes have a reputation as being slower but their reliability has increased rapidly in recent years, with good parts support too.

Essentially, the money you save compared to buying a Japanese or Euro bike means many more tanks of petrol and weekends away camping. Even if your dirt bike does break down, repairing it is pretty damn easy.

Mainly for Kids

Most of these cheaper dirt bikes are for junior riders from 4 years old up to teenage years. If you’re an adult thinking you’re getting a powerful 250cc dirt bike, then you may be a little disappointed.

Remember: We’re unbised in our approach.

If you’re a beginner, then their 250cc series is a great starting point. The problem is that you’ll outgrow it pretty quickly and by your 8th or 9th ride, be wishing you just had that little more ‘go’ in the top end.

Sure – for casually riding around at idle, these bikes are ideal and don’t miss a beat. Their powerband is mild which again, makes them perfect for first-time riders.

But as for enduro riding, dual-sport adventures or racing your mates up a gnarly hill climb, you’re going ot struggle. Plus just about all of their dirt bikes are illegal apart from organized riding parks and private property.

Customer Complaints

It’s clear that not everyone is happy with the actions of GMX Motorbikes and Go Easy Online. It’s mostly based on the customer service rather than the products themselves as we’ve analyzed from our research.

Evidently, just about every other motorcycle shop suffers the same fate. The reviews are skewed as more people are likely to leave a 1-star review than a 5-star review, so their 2-star average is probably more like a 4.2.

Thus, we wouldn’t take all these negative experiences seriously. This company is still in service and many have had great experiences, buy upfront and in the servicing and repair side. After all, you get a warranty if anything goes wrong.

In Summary

Chinese dirt bikes were scoffed at for the first few years of their existence in Australia. Over time, we’ve come to love them as a country for their affordability and cheap fun.

Sure – they’ll never be a ‘true’ dirt bike like a KTM, but they don’t pretend to be. Not all of us need to win championships like Toby Price. If you’re just having some thrills around the farm or helping your kids develop your skills, then GMX might be one of the best places to start.

Motorcycle Stuff Review: Are They Any Good?

Motorcycle Stuff in Sydney is a relatively unknown store stocking goods for us 2-wheel fanatics, but are they worth it?

After all, they aren’t the only company in town and their reputation isn’t as established.

Frontaer is very unbiased in our opinions and experiences and this review has no input from their team. There is no commercial relationship between us.

Motorcycle Stuff Review

Yep – we get it – you’ve gotta do the research first. After all, who are you really buying from? Their website doesn’t really look as convincing as others out there nor are they as established, but certainly if you live within a few kilometers of the city, then you’ll know about their concept store in St Peters.

We had a very close look to see who runs this store and how long they’ve been in business. As we can see, they have been running since 2014 and their main focus is their online sales channels, though the store itself does drive some sales.

What’s unique is that they’re fussy about the gear that they stock and you won’t find cheap stuff on the shelves, nor will you find old stuff either. They want the best stuff that’s new to the market given the evolvement in technology over the last 10 years to protect riders of all sizes and experience levels.

Customer Service

The team here is very strong and knowledgeable about all types of riding, though they serve bitumen riders predomienntly. If we were looking to get some motocross gear, then we would be more inclined towards MX Store or the like who has much more to offer.

We do notice that they stock Macna Jackets which is refreshing. This is an Australian company so you know the money is staying locally, instead of heading to the United States or the UK.

When we look at their online reviews and reputation, it’s clear that these guys mean business. They aren’t beating around the bush and are looking to serve riders and help them find the best gear possible, yet there are a few complaints.

What you’ll notice is that no store every claims a 5-star average rating anywhere. This is because it’s so difficult to get someone to leave a 5-star review despite how great the experience was, yet 1-star reviews tend to come in without an issue. Thus, the average review ratings with any store is somewhat flawed and not a metric we generally look at precisely.

If you are in the market for gear right now, look at what they have and what they do to ensure it arrives safely to you. In this case, they used insured delivery to keep their customers happy.

In Summary

Motorcycle Stuff Australia is a small fish in a big pond, and there are some giants in the industry who have been dominating for years with a fleet of stores and a strong reputation.

That said, there is always room for a little competition. We do look forward to seeing Motorcycle Stuff improve their store count, online reputation and gear that is available.

ChapMoto Review: Are They Any Good?

ChapMoto, otherwise known as Chaparral Motorsports, is an online motorcycle store with mixed reviews and some complaints.

Essentially, not everyone is happy with their customer service team. Here at Frontaer, we wanted to provide some unbiased input here. Essentially, we aren’t paid for our online reviews or opinions by anyone.

Let’s begin.

ChapMoto Review

Just like you, we’ve shopped online and in retail stores for our gear for many years now. We expect to have good customer service and great parts availability.

What’s also quite important is knowing who is behind the store that you’re buying from, and if they’re genuinely motorcycle riders. With ChapMoto, it certainly appears that they are!

We did the research so you don’t have to, including looking at their social media accounts and company status. If you’re ready to get started, then this is a rock-solid store worth buying from, but let’s go deeper first.

Range of Gear

ChapMoto makes it very obvious that they have the biggest range of motorcycling gear for offroad and on-road riders in North America. They certainly don’t mess around!

Not only do they stock a lot of gear, but they also keep it in stock. There is nothing more frustrating than coming across a part that’s out of stock. Argh! Not with these guys since they have an entire team whose job it is to keep things in stock for riders around the country…and even around the world! They do ship to Australia after all.

Customer Service

The customer service behind this team is reasonably high and our experience was very pleasant. We’re the type that always has our guard up when shopping too.

It’s their team that makes all the difference. They have some staff that specialize in road-based gear and others which specialize in dirt bike gear. Thus, you can get someone who really speaks your language.

Most importantly – when things go bad (and they eventually do go bad at one point), the team is there to fix up issues along the way.

Negative Reviews of ChapMoto

Have you seen the negative reviews online and customer complaints surrouding ChapMoto? These are to be taken with a grain of salt.

You see, most people aren’t likely to be leaving a 5-star review. Once something happens (let’s say the wrong part was sent or something was lost in shipping), these customers turn into a businesses’ worst nightmare.

This is what explains the lower than average review rating of their store on places like TrustPilot. ChapMoto has grown so large that the negative experiences do come up on occasions, but positive experiences are bountiful.

In Summary

Buying your gear online these days is more safer than it has ever been! So much so that using these stores is often easier than going down to your local dealership, even with the price of shipping.

While everyone else shops on Amazon, you can be rest assured that your purchase is going to support a local and honest store that’s doing the right thing for consumers. With many products on their shelves, we do look forward to seeing Frontaer on there real soon.
